It was a very long day as I was the 1st to get a spot at 2am in the morning. Camping out is generally not my thing, but I thought; why waste money on a hotel when I'm going to be there no later than 6am anyway. When I first arrived, the red carpet was still being set-up. A couple of security guards advised me on the best place to be (confirmation that is was going to be a normal premiere was all I needed). Let me just go on the record as saying that the security for Sony Pictures was great. They are fan friendly, unlike some other companies that generally do the premieres. This made things much easier and made for an enjoyable night. Thanks Mike and Team!
The first to arrive was Andrew Garfield...yep...Spider-Man himself. He got out of the car about halfway down the block and started signing at the far end of the baracade I was in. My friend and I took turns watching the stuff and jumped to get graphs from Andrew.
My hat goes off to this kid. He threw it down. His autograph is as simple as it gets, and he brought his own dead pen (ink is really bad), but what can you do. At least he signed for all the fans. I able to get him on 3 cast shots and 2 individuals, as well as getting a picture with him after the premiere started.
Next to sign was Rhys Ifans, who plays the lizard bad guy in the movie. I like him as an actor, and he did sign a little bit; but was very difficult and sporadic. I could only get him on 1 photo and my friend got him for me on the red carpet.
Next to sign was Emma Stone. She is one of my favorite actresses today and she can sign too! She threw down as much as Spidey himself. I managed to get her on my 3 cast photos, as well as 2 individuals and my friend got me another individual 11x14 on the red carpet. Thanks Brenda!
Emma...you were amazing! I also managed to get her later that evening on an 8x10 and 2 index cards.
That was it for arrivals. Now to wait for departures. I managed to get a few people leaving early before returning for after party. Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Sally Field and Chris Zylka, to name a few. Here is what I got:
Emma Stone index card.
Emma Stone index card #2.
Chris Zylka index card.
Chris Zylka index card #2.
Chris Zylka and I.
Sally Field Forrest Gump 11x14.
Sally Field and I. She still looks good :)
When the movie broke, I did manage to get quite a few things done while people were going to after party. Here is what I got:
I missed Denis Leary when he signed going into the party, but was able to get him to roll down at the stop light when he left. Thanks so much Denis! You are one of my favs!
C. Thomas Howell is in the movie, so I put him on my one cast shot and added a couple of index cards to my collection. Thanks C. Thomas! He laughed when I asked him to write Ponyboy.
Matthew Gray Gubler from Criminal Minds was there and nice enough to sign a couple index cards for me and take a photo with. I had to work for these...Thanks Matthew!
One of my favorite beauties was in attendance...Meagan Good, who was nice enough to sign a couple for me. Thanks so much! I will get the photo with next time :)
Embeth Davidtz is in the movie, so I put her on my cast photo. She signed right on top of Andrew's signature. Thanks Embeth! I know it was dark and you couldn't see :)
We had a couple of American Idol stars in attendance. I was able to get Phillip Phillips on a guard, which was not easy AT ALL. I also got an index card from Colton Dixon as well.
When I heard Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic were supposed to be in attendance, I almost did a back flip. Come to find out, Stana didn't make it, but Nathan did not disappoint. Thanks so much Sir!
Here are the cast pics I got done. There were 2 of them that I just put Emma and Andrew on, and 1 that has most of the cast. Thanks so much everyone! What a night!
Andrew and Emma are on this two.
Well...thanks for taking the time to read about my night. I hope you can live vicariously through me.
